English class' guideline

GUIDELINE FOR THE ENGLISH CLASS 2011- 2012

-          Bring all the materials to class: textbooks (class book and student’s book), paper, notebook, or pens.
-          Be in your seat and ready to work when the bell rings.
-          No chewing gum, food or use of cell phones.
-          RESPECT everyone in class: treat others the way you would want to be treated.
-          No talking when the teacher is talking.

Failure to follow these guidelines will result in a lowered grade. Every four negative marks (i.e., lying, disrespect to teacher/others, disrespect of school or others' property, bad attitude, missing homework, being disruptive, side conversations during class, being off-task, etc.), you will have one deduction  from the final mark. You will have some extra opportunities to recover from the negative marks.

-          Irregular verbs: every week you will have to learn 5 verbs from the list. At the end of the year, you will have to know all of them.

-          Essays and other assignments or projects will be due on time. Failure to turn in assignments on time will result in a zero.  No excuses accepted. No credit for any work done in pencil or red pen.

-          Readings: 1st reading: first semester.

    2nd reading: second semester.

-          Speaking: the mark will be like the other marks you have during the semester. If you have less than 3.5 average (class work), there won’t be any chance to use the speaking mark.
